वायुदेव उवाच ब्राह्म॒णास्तात लोके5स्मिन्नर्चनीया: सदा मम । एते भूमिचरा देवा वाग्विषा: सुप्रसादका:,श्रीकृष्ण बोले--तात! इस संसारमें ब्राह्मण मेरे लिये सदा ही पूजनीय हैं। ये पृथ्वीपर विचरनेवाले देवता हैं। कुपित होने पर इनकी वाणीमें विषका-सा प्रभाव होता है। ये सहज ही प्रसन्न होते और दूसरोंको भी प्रसन्न करते हैं

Transliteration

vāyudeva uvāca | brāhmaṇās tāta loke 'sminn arcanīyāḥ sadā mama | ete bhūmicarā devā vāgviṣāḥ suprasādakāḥ ||

Translation

শ্রীকৃষ্ণ বললেন—“তাত! এই জগতে ব্রাহ্মণগণ আমার কাছে সর্বদা পূজনীয়। তাঁরা পৃথিবীতে বিচরণকারী দেবতা। ক্রুদ্ধ হলে তাঁদের বাক্য বিষের ন্যায় আঘাত করে; আর স্বভাবতই তাঁরা সহজে প্রসন্ন হন এবং অন্যদেরও প্রসন্ন করেন।”
