वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic ideal of loyal, disciplined support to a righteous leader—service rendered through orderly conduct and steadfast companionship rather than self-assertion.
Yuyutsu mounts a bright chariot drawn by very swift horses and proceeds behind Yudhiṣṭhira, indicating that he is accompanying and following the eldest Pāṇḍava as events move forward in the Śānti Parva.
