आरण्यकेन सहितं नारायणमुखोद्भवम् । तदनन्तर ब्रह्माने भगवान् श्रीहरिको नमस्कार किया और उन्हीं नारायणदेवके मुखसे प्रकट आरण्यक, रहस्य तथा संग्रहसहित उस श्रेष्ठ धर्मका उपदेश ग्रहण किया
āraṇyakena sahitaṃ nārāyaṇamukhodbhavam | tadanantaraṃ brahmāṇe bhagavān śrīharir ko namaskāraṃ kṛtvā tasyaiva nārāyaṇadevasya mukhāt prakaṭam āraṇyaka-rahasya-saṃgraha-sahitaṃ taṃ śreṣṭhaṃ dharmopadeśaṃ jagrāha |
বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন—আরণ্যকসহ, নারায়ণের মুখ থেকে উদ্ভূত সেই উপদেশ পরে গৃহীত হল। তারপর ভগবান শ্রীহরি ব্রহ্মাকে প্রণাম করে, স্বয়ং নারায়ণদেবের মুখ থেকে প্রকাশিত আরণ্যক, রহস্য ও সংগ্রহসহ সেই শ্রেষ্ঠ ধর্মোপদেশ গ্রহণ করলেন।
