नागैः सह ब्राह्मणस्य अतिथिधर्म-व्रतसंवादः | The Brahmin’s Vow and the Nāgas’ Hospitality Appeal
ब्रह्मन! उन्हीं भगवान् परमदेव परमात्माके तीनों लोकोंमें जो देवप्रिय अवतार होनेवाले हैं, उनका सदा ही परम मंगल हो--यही हमारी इस तपस्याका उद्देश्य है
Brahman! Unhīṁ bhagavān paramadeva paramātmāke trīṇi lokēṣu yo devapriya avatāra bhaviṣyanti, teṣāṁ sadāiva parama-maṅgalaṁ bhavatu—ity eṣa asmākaṁ tapasyaḥ uddēśyaḥ.
নারদ বললেন—হে ব্রাহ্মণ! সেই ভগবান পরমদেব পরমাত্মার, দেবগণের প্রিয় যে অবতারসমূহ তিন লোকের মধ্যে প্রকাশিত হবেন—তাঁদের জন্য সর্বদা পরম মঙ্গল হোক; এটাই আমাদের তপস্যার একমাত্র লক্ষ্য।
