Śuka’s Guṇa-Transcendence and Vyāsa’s Consolation (शुकगति-वर्णनम्)
येन येन हि यस्यार्थ: कारणेनेह कर्मणि । तत्तदालम्बते सर्व: स्वे स्वे स्वार्थपरिग्रहे
yena yena hi yasyārthaḥ kāraṇeneha karmaṇi | tattad ālambate sarvaḥ sve sve svārthaparigrahe ||
জনক বললেন— এই কর্মজগতে যে যে উদ্দেশ্য সিদ্ধ করতে যার যে যে উপায় প্রয়োজন, সে সেই সেই উপায়কেই আশ্রয় করে; কারণ প্রত্যেকে নিজের অভীষ্ট লাভে নিবিষ্ট হয়ে নিজের কাজ সাধনকারী সেই বিশেষ উপকরণই গ্রহণ করে।
