विविधानां च भूतानां जड़मा: परमा नृप । जड़मानामपि तथा द्विपदा: परमा मता:

Transliteration

vividhānāṁ ca bhūtānāṁ jaṅgamāḥ paramā nṛpa | jaṅgamānām api tathā dvipadāḥ paramā matāḥ ||

Translation

মহারাজ! নানা প্রকার প্রাণীর মধ্যে চলমান (জঙ্গম) প্রাণীরা শ্রেষ্ঠ বলে গণ্য; আর সেই চলমানদের মধ্যেও দ্বিপদ—মানুষ—সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ বলে মানা হয়।
