Mahābhārata 12.292
न धर्मार्थी नृशंसेन कर्मणा धनमर्जयेत् । शक्तित: सर्वकार्याणि कुर्यन्नद्धिमनुस्मरेत्
na dharmārthī nṛśaṃsena karmaṇā dhanam arjayet | śaktitaḥ sarvakāryāṇi kuryann addhim anusmaret ||
যে ধর্ম কামনা করে, সে নিষ্ঠুর বা নির্দয় কর্মে ধন অর্জন করবে না। নিজের সামর্থ্য অনুযায়ী সকল কর্তব্য পালন করবে এবং সর্বদা পরম হিত—উচ্চতম কল্যাণ—স্মরণে রাখবে।
