उपसूष्टेषु दान्तेषु दुराचारेषु साधुषु । अविनीतेषु लुब्धेषु सुमहद् दण्डधारणम्
upasūṣṭeṣu dānteṣu durācāreṣu sādhuṣu | avinīteṣu lubdheṣu sumahad daṇḍadhāraṇam ||
নারদ বললেন—যেখানে সংযমীদের উৎপীড়ন করা হয়, সাধুজনের প্রতি দুরাচার চলে, আর অবিনীত ও লোভী লোকের প্রাধান্য থাকে—যেখানে অত্যন্ত কঠোর দণ্ডের প্রচলন—সেই দেশে বিনা বিচারে বাস করা উচিত নয়।
