Adhyāya 287 — Janaka’s Inquiry on Śreyas, Abhayadāna, and Asaṅga

यत्रागमयमानानामसत्कारेण पृच्छताम् | प्रत्ूयाद् ब्रह्मणो धर्म त्यजेत् तं देशमात्मवान्
yatrāgamayamānānām asatkāreṇa pṛcchatām | prabrūyād brāhmaṇo dharmaṃ tyajet taṃ deśam ātmavān ||
যেখানে লোকেরা অসৎ উদ্দেশ্য ও অবমাননা নিয়ে ধর্মসম্বন্ধে প্রশ্ন করে, আর তবু কোনো ব্রাহ্মণ তাদের ধর্মোপদেশ দেন—সেখানে আত্মসংযমী সাধকের উচিত সেই দেশ ত্যাগ করা।
