तुलाधार उवाच आयानेवासि विदितो मम ब्रह्मन् न संशय: । ब्रवीमि यत् तु वचन तच्छुणुष्व द्विजोत्तम
tulādhāra uvāca | āyāne evāsi vidito mama brahman na saṁśayaḥ | bravīmi yat tu vacanaṁ tac chṛṇuṣva dvijottama ||
তুলাধার বললেন—হে ব্রাহ্মণ! আপনি আমার কাছে আসছেন—এ কথা আমার আগে থেকেই জানা ছিল; এতে কোনো সন্দেহ নেই। হে দ্বিজশ্রেষ্ঠ! এখন আমি যা বলব, মনোযোগ দিয়ে শুনুন।
तुलाधार उवाच
The verse sets an ethical and pedagogical tone: the speaker claims clear foreknowledge and then calls for attentive listening, emphasizing receptivity and disciplined hearing as prerequisites for dharma-instruction.
Tulādhāra addresses a Brahmin visitor, stating that the visitor’s arrival was already known to him and inviting him to listen carefully to the forthcoming discourse.
