सम्पीडयति य: कालो वृद्धि वार्धुषिको यथा । जैसे ऋण देनेवाला पुरुष व्याजका हिसाब जोड़कर ऋण लेनेवालोंको तंग करता है
sampīḍayati yaḥ kālo vṛddhi-vārdhuṣiko yathā |
যেমন ঋণদাতা সুদ ও বৃদ্ধি গুনে গুনে ঋণগ্রহীতাকে চাপে রাখে, তেমনি কাল দিন-রাত্রি, মাস, ক্ষণ, কাষ্ঠা, লব ও কলা—এমনকি সূক্ষ্মতম পরিমাপ পর্যন্ত হিসাব রেখে জীবদের অবিরাম পীড়িত করে।
