ब्राह्मणस्य पूर्वतरा वृत्तिः — The Earlier Ideal Conduct of a Brahmana

काल पश्यति सुव्यक्ते पाणावामलकं यथा । कालचारित्रतत्त्वज्ञ: सर्वशास्त्रविशारद:
kālaṁ paśyati suvyakte pāṇāv āmalakaṁ yathā | kālacāritra-tattvajñaḥ sarvaśāstra-viśāradaḥ ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—তুমি কালের রূপকে ততটাই স্পষ্ট দেখো, যেমন হাতের তালুতে রাখা আমলকী ফল। তুমি কালের স্বভাব ও তার কার্যপ্রণালীর তত্ত্বজ্ঞ, এবং সকল শাস্ত্রে বিশারদ।
