पृथिवी ज्योतिराकाशमापो वायुश्च॒ पठचम: । एतद्योनीनि भूतानि तत्र का परिदेवना

Transliteration

śakra uvāca | pṛthivī jyotir ākāśam āpo vāyuś ca pañcamaḥ | etad-yonīni bhūtāni tatra kā paridevanā ||

Translation

শক্র বললেন—পৃথিবী, অগ্নি (জ্যোতি), আকাশ, জল এবং পঞ্চম বায়ু—এগুলিই দেহধারী প্রাণীদের উপাদান-যোনি। যখন সকলেই এদের থেকেই জন্ম নিয়ে এদের মধ্যেই লীন হয়, তখন শোক ও বিলাপের অবকাশ কোথায়?
