Examination of Faults and Discernment of the Guṇas
मनस्त्वपद्ठतं पूर्वमिन्द्रियार्थनिदर्शकम् । न समक्षगुणापेक्षि निर्गुणस्य निदर्शकम्
manas tv apahṛtaṁ pūrvam indriyārtha-nidarśakam | na samakṣa-guṇāpekṣi nirguṇasya nidarśakam ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—ইন্দ্রিয়বিষয় নির্দেশকারী মন যদি আগেই সেই বিষয়গুলির দিকেই অপহৃত হয়ে যায়, তবে বিষয়গত গুণের উপর নির্ভরশীল সেই মন নির্গুণ তত্ত্বের প্রত্যক্ষ দর্শন করাতে সক্ষম হয় না।
