ब्राह्मण उवाच कृतः प्रयत्न: सुमहान् सर्वेषां संनिधाविह । सह तुल्यफलावावं गच्छावो यत्र नौ गति:
brāhmaṇa uvāca | kṛtaḥ prayatnaḥ sumahān sarveṣāṁ saṁnidhāv iha | saha tulyaphalāv āvāṁ gacchāvo yatra nau gatiḥ ||
ব্রাহ্মণ বললেন— হে রাজন, এখানে সকলের সম্মুখে আমি আমার তপস্যা ও জপের ফল আপনাকে অর্পণ করতে মহৎ চেষ্টা করেছি। কিন্তু আপনার অনুরোধ—আমরা দু’জনেই একসঙ্গে ফল ভোগ করি। অতএব আমরা উভয়েই সমান ভাগী হই। চলুন, যতদূর আমাদের গতি, একসঙ্গে যাই।
