वरश्न मम पूर्व हि दत्तो देव्या महाबल । श्रद्धा ते जपतो नित्यं भवत्विति विशाम्पते,“महाबली प्रजानाथ! मुझे देवी सावित्रीने वर दिया है कि जपमें तुम्हारी नित्य श्रद्धा बनी रहेगी”
varaśna mama pūrva hi datto devyā mahābala | śraddhā te japato nityaṁ bhavatv iti viśāmpate ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন— হে মহাবলী, পূর্বে দেবী আমাকে এই বর দিয়েছিলেন—‘হে প্রজাপতি, যে নিত্য জপ করে, তার মধ্যে তোমার অচঞ্চল শ্রদ্ধা সদা বিরাজ করুক।’
