On Gratitude and Friendship Ethics
भीष्म उवाच तत्त्वं शृणुष्व माद्रेय यदेतत् परिपृच्छसि । प्रबोधितो5स्मि भवता धातुमानिव पर्वत:
bhīṣma uvāca tattvaṃ śṛṇuṣva mādreya yad etat paripṛcchasi | prabodhito 'smi bhavatā dhātumān iva parvataḥ ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—হে মাদ্রেয়! তুমি যে প্রশ্ন করছ, তার তত্ত্ব শোনো। আমি তো রক্তে সিক্ত, গেরুধাতুতে রঞ্জিত পর্বতের মতো নিস্পন্দ হয়ে পড়ে ছিলাম; কিন্তু তোমার প্রশ্নই আমাকে জাগিয়ে তুলেছে।
