न ते चालयितुं शक्‍या धर्मव्यापारकारिण: । न तेषां भिद्यते वृत्तं यत्पुरा साधुभि: कृतम्‌

Transliteration

na te cālayituṁ śakyā dharmavyāpārakāriṇaḥ | na teṣāṁ bhidyate vṛttaṁ yat pūrā sādhubhiḥ kṛtam ||

Translation

ভীষ্ম বললেন—যারা ধর্মাচরণে নিয়োজিত, তাদের সৎকর্ম থেকে টলানো যায় না। তাদের স্থির আচরণ ভাঙে না; পূর্বকালের সাধুগণ যে সদাচার পালন করেছেন, তারই তারা অনুসরণ করে, এবং সেই মহৎ শৃঙ্খলা তাদের মধ্যে কখনও নষ্ট হয় না।
