Tapas as the Root of Attainment (तपः—साधनमूलप्रशंसा)
तथैव मृगजातीभिरन्याभिरभिशो भसे । तथा सर्वाधिवासैश्व शोभसे मेरुवद्द्रुम
tathaiva mṛgajātībhiḥ anyābhiḥ abhiśobhase | tathā sarvādhivāsaiś ca śobhase meruvad drumam ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—হে শ্রেষ্ঠ বৃক্ষ! তেমনি নানা জাতের হরিণ ও অন্যান্য বনচর প্রাণীও তোমার শোভা বৃদ্ধি করে। আর সকলের আশ্রয়স্থল হওয়ায় তুমি মেরুপর্বতের ন্যায় দীপ্তিমান।
