एवमुकक्त्वा विनिश्ित्य रौद्रकर्मा स लुब्धक: । महाप्रस्थानमाश्रित्य प्रययौ संशितव्रत:,ऐसा कहकर धर्माचरणका ही निश्चय करके वह भयानक कर्म करनेवाला व्याध कठोर व्रतका आश्रय ले महाप्रस्थानके पथपर चल दिया
evam uktvā viniścitya raudrakarmā sa lubdhakaḥ | mahāprasthānam āśritya prayayau saṃśitavrataḥ ||
এমন বলে, ধর্মাচরণের দৃঢ় সংকল্প করে, ভয়ংকর কর্মে পরিচিত সেই ব্যাধও কঠোর ব্রত গ্রহণ করে মহাপ্রস্থানের পথে যাত্রা করল।
