Transliteration

na vavarṣa sahasrākṣaḥ pratilomo 'bhavad guruḥ | jagāma dakṣiṇa-mārgaṃ somo vyāvṛtta-lakṣaṇaḥ ||

Translation

সহস্রাক্ষ ইন্দ্র বৃষ্টি বর্ষালেন না; গুরু (বৃহস্পতি) প্রতিলোম গতি ধারণ করলেন; আর লক্ষণ-বিকৃত সোম (চন্দ্র) দক্ষিণ পথে অগ্রসর হলেন।
