नासम्यक्‌ कृतकारी स्यादप्रमत्त: सदा भवेत्‌ | कण्टको<पि हि दुश्छिन्नो विकारं कुरुते चिरम्‌

Transliteration

nāsamyak kṛtakārī syād apramattaḥ sadā bhavet | kaṇṭako 'pi hi duśchinnaḥ vikāraṃ kurute ciram ||

Translation

ভীষ্ম বললেন—কোনো কাজ যথাযথভাবে সম্পন্ন না করে ফেলে রেখো না; সর্বদা সতর্ক থেকো। কারণ কাঁটাও যদি ঠিকমতো না তোলা হয় এবং সামান্য অংশ ভেতরে থেকে যায়, তবে তা দীর্ঘকাল ব্যাধি ও বিকার ঘটায়।
