लीन: स तस्य गात्रेषु पलितो देशकालवित् । चिच्छेद पाशान् नृपते कालापेक्षी शनै: शनै:
līnaḥ sa tasya gātreṣu palito deśa-kāla-vit | ciccheda pāśān nṛpate kālāpekṣī śanaiḥ śanaiḥ ||
বিড়ালের দেহের গায়ে লেগে গোপনে থাকা দেশ-কালজ্ঞ ধূসর ইঁদুর পালিত উপযুক্ত সময়ের অপেক্ষা করল; বিপদের আগমন লক্ষ করে, হে রাজন, ধীরে ধীরে ফাঁসের দড়িগুলি কেটে ফেলতে লাগল।
