पश्येदुपायान् विविधै: क्रियापथै- न चानुपायेन मतिं निवेशयेत् । श्रियं विशिष्टां विपुलं यशो धनं न दोषदर्शी पुरुष: समश्चुते
paśyed upāyān vividhaiḥ kriyāpathair na cānupāyena matiṁ niveśayet | śriyaṁ viśiṣṭāṁ vipulaṁ yaśo dhanaṁ na doṣadarśī puruṣaḥ samaśnute ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—রাজা নানাবিধ কার্যপথে সাফল্যের উপায় অনুসন্ধান করবে, কিন্তু অনুপযুক্ত উপায়ে মন স্থাপন করবে না। যে ব্যক্তি নির্দোষের মধ্যেও দোষ দেখে, সে বিশেষ সমৃদ্ধি, বিপুল যশ ও ধন লাভ করতে পারে না।
