Upāya-dharma and Senāyoga: Expedient Ethics & Army Deployment
अपडूका गर्तरहिता रथभूमि: प्रशस्यते । नीचद्रुमा महाकक्षा सोदका हस्तियोधिनाम्
apadūkā gartarahitā rathabhūmiḥ praśasyate | nīcadrumā mahākakṣā sodakā hastiyodhinām ||
ভীষ্ম বললেন—রথযুদ্ধের উপযুক্ত ভূমি সেই, যেখানে কাদা ও গর্ত নেই। কিন্তু গজযোদ্ধাদের জন্য প্রশংসনীয় ভূমি হলো যেখানে খাটো গাছ, বিস্তৃত ঘাস-ঝোপঝাড় এবং জলসঞ্চয় থাকে—যে ভূমি হাতিদের ধারণ ও যুদ্ধে চলাচলের উপযোগী।
