जनकस्य युद्धोपदेशः — Janaka’s Instruction on Steadfast Battle-Conduct
त्यागमूलं हि शूराणां स्वर्गद्वारमनुत्तमम् । इत्युक्तास्ते नृपतिना योधा: परपुरंजय
tyāgamūlaṃ hi śūrāṇāṃ svargadvāram anuttamam | ity uktās te nṛpatinā yodhāḥ parapuraṃjayāḥ |
বীরদের জন্য স্বর্গের সর্বোত্তম দ্বার ত্যাগেই—আত্মোৎসর্গেই—প্রতিষ্ঠিত। রাজা এ কথা বললে, শত্রু-নগরজয়ী সেই যোদ্ধারা উপদেশ হৃদয়ে ধারণ করে রণাঙ্গনে স্বামীর আনন্দ বৃদ্ধি করল এবং তার শত্রুদের পরাজিত করল। অতএব দৃঢ়চিত্ত পুরুষের উচিত যুদ্ধের দ্বারপ্রান্তে সর্বদা অবিচল থাকা।
