रणभूमिवर्णनम् — Devāsuropama-yuddha and the ‘River’ Metaphor of the Battlefield
कुरुष्वल्पावशिष्टेषु पाण्डवेषु च संयुगे । सुसंरब्धेषु पार्थेषु पराक्रान्तेषु संजय
kuruṣv alpāvaśiṣṭeṣu pāṇḍaveṣu ca saṃyuge | susaṃrabdheṣu pārtheṣu parākrānteṣu sañjaya ||
ধৃতরাষ্ট্র বললেন— সঞ্জয়! যখন যুদ্ধক্ষেত্রে পাণ্ডবদের মধ্যে অল্প কয়েকজন মাত্র অবশিষ্ট ছিল, আর পৃথাপুত্র পার্থরা প্রবল ক্রোধে পূর্ণ বিক্রমে যুদ্ধ করছিল, তখন কী ঘটেছিল—আমাকে বলো।
