मूर्थ्नि स्थितममित्राणां जीवतामेव संजय । दत्ता दाया यथाशक्ति मित्राणां च प्रियं कृतम्
mūrdhni sthitam amitrāṇāṃ jīvatām eva saṃjaya | dattā dāyā yathāśakti mitrāṇāṃ ca priyaṃ kṛtam ||
সঞ্জয় বললেন—হে সঞ্জয়, শত্রুরা জীবিত থাকতেই আমি তাদের মস্তকের উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত ছিলাম—অর্থাৎ তাদের উপর কর্তৃত্ব বজায় রেখেছিলাম। আমি সামর্থ্য অনুযায়ী দান ও অংশ বণ্টন করেছি, এবং বন্ধুদেরও প্রিয় সাধন করেছি।
