यथासुखं जन: सर्वो याति तिष्ठति वै तदा । यातुकामस्य यानानि पानानि तृषितस्य च

Transliteration

yathāsukhaṃ janaḥ sarvo yāti tiṣṭhati vai tadā | yātukāmasya yānāni pānāni tṛṣitasya ca ||

Translation

বৈশম্পায়ন বললেন— তখন সেই যাত্রাপথে সকলেই স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যে চলত ও বিশ্রাম নিত। যার যাত্রার ইচ্ছা, তাকে বাহন দেওয়া হত; যে তৃষ্ণার্ত, তাকে পানীয় দেওয়া হত—এমন সুশৃঙ্খল আতিথ্য ছিল যে কারও প্রয়োজনই অবহেলিত থাকত না।
