न पक्षिणो बश्रमुरन्तरिक्षे तदा महास्त्रेण कृतेडन्धकारे
na pakṣiṇo baśramur antarīkṣe tadā mahāstreṇa kṛte 'ndhakāre
সঞ্জয় বললেন—যখন সেই মহাস্ত্রের প্রয়োগে আকাশে অন্ধকার নেমে এল, তখন পাখিরাও মধ্যাকাশে উড়ে বেড়াতে পারল না। যুদ্ধের সেই মহাশক্তি-সৃষ্ট অন্ধকার ছিল ভয়ংকর ও অমঙ্গলসূচক।
