एक एव रणे भीष्म एकवीरत्वमागत: । “किंतु समरांगणमें भीष्मजी अकेले ही पाण्डवों और सूंजयोंको खदेड़कर युद्धमें अद्वितीय वीरके रूपमें विख्यात हुए
eka eva raṇe bhīṣma ekavīratvam āgataḥ |
সঞ্জয় বললেন—সেই যুদ্ধে ভীষ্ম একাই একবীরের মতো উদ্ভাসিত হলেন। তিনি পাণ্ডব ও সৃঞ্জয়দের রণক্ষেত্র থেকে হটিয়ে দিলেন এবং সমরাঙ্গণে অতুলনীয় বীররূপে খ্যাতি লাভ করলেন।
