Arjuna’s Rapid Advance and the Bhīma–Śakuni Encounter
tataḥ punar ameyātmā tava putro hāmarṣaṇaḥ
The verse highlights a moral-psychological pattern in war: when pride is wounded, impatience and resentment can override restraint, causing a person to re-enter conflict with renewed intensity. It implicitly warns that inner measure (self-control) matters more than ‘immeasurable’ force when ethical judgment is at stake.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that his son, after a prior development, again becomes unable to tolerate the situation—suggesting a fresh surge of agitation and readiness to act in the ongoing battle episode described in this section of Karṇa Parva.
