कृपेणच्छादितं हृष्टवा नृपोत्तम शिखण्डिनम् | प्रत्युद्ययौ कृप॑ तूर्ण धृष्टद्युम्नो महारथ:,नृपश्रेष्ठ॒ शिखण्डीको कृपाचार्यके बाणोंसे आच्छादित हुआ देख महारथी धृष्टद्युम्न तुरंत ही उनका सामना करनेके लिये आये
kṛpeṇācchāditaṃ hṛṣṭvā nṛpottama śikhaṇḍinam | pratyudyayau kṛpaṃ tūrṇaṃ dhṛṣṭadyumno mahārathaḥ ||
নৃপশ্রেষ্ঠ! কৃপাচার্যের শরবৃষ্টিতে শিখণ্ডীকে আচ্ছাদিত দেখে মহারথী ধৃষ্টদ্যুম্ন তৎক্ষণাৎ কৃপের মোকাবিলায় অগ্রসর হলেন।
