Adhyāya 18 — Sequential Duels and Formation Pressure
Ulūka–Yuyutsu; Śakuni–Sutasoma; Kṛpa–Dhṛṣṭadyumna; Kṛtavarmā–Śikhaṇḍin
साश्चपत्तिद्विपरथं महाशस्त्रौ्सम्प्लवम् | सहसा संतितीर्षन्तं पार्थ शस्त्रास्त्रसेतुना
sāśvapattidviparathaṁ mahāśastraughasamplavam | sahasā santitīrṣantaṁ pārtha śastrāstrasētunā ||
অশ্ব, পদাতিক, গজ ও রথে পরিপূর্ণ এবং মহাশস্ত্রের প্রবাহে স্ফীত সেই সৈন্য-সমুদ্রকে পার্থ নিজের অস্ত্র-শস্ত্ররূপ সেতু দিয়ে সহসাই পার হতে চাইলেন। তখন শ্রীকৃষ্ণ বললেন—“নিষ্পাপ পার্থ! এ কী ক্রীড়া করছ? আগে এই সংশপ্তকদের সংহার করো, তারপর দ্রুত ও দৃঢ়ভাবে কর্ণবধের জন্য উদ্যোগী হও।”
