कर्णसेनापत्यारम्भः — Karṇa’s Appointment and the Report to Dhṛtarāṣṭra
Chapter 1
ते मुहूर्त समाश्वस्य हेतुभि: शास्त्रसम्मितै: । रात्यागमे महीपाला: स्वानि वेश्मानि भेजिरे
te muhūrtaṃ samāśvasya hetubhiḥ śāstra-sammitaiḥ | rātry-āgame mahīpālāḥ svāni veśmāni bhejire ||
শাস্ত্রসম্মত যুক্তি-কারণে কিছুক্ষণ স্থির হয়ে, রাত্রি নামলে সেই মহীপালগণ নিজ নিজ আবাসে (শিবিরে) ফিরে গেলেন। ইতি শ্রীমহাভারতে কর্ণপর্বণি ‘জনমেজয়বাক্য’ নাম প্রথম অধ্যায়।
