तददवेक्ष्य कृतं कर्म राक्षसेन बलीयसा । दिवि देवा: सगन्धर्वा मुनयश्लापि विस्मिता:,महाबली राक्षसके द्वारा किये गये इस महान् कर्मको देखकर आकाशमें खड़े हुए देवता, गन्धर्व और मुनि बड़े विस्मित हुए
tad adavekṣya kṛtaṃ karma rākṣasena balīyasā | divi devāḥ sagandharvā munayaś cāpi vismitāḥ ||
সঞ্জয় বললেন— সেই মহাবলী রাক্ষসের কৃত কর্ম দেখে আকাশস্থিত দেবগণ, গন্ধর্বগণ এবং মুনিরাও বিস্ময়ে অভিভূত হলেন॥
संजय उवाच
Extraordinary capability and force can draw acknowledgment even from divine and sage witnesses, but the verse implicitly invites ethical reflection: greatness of power is not the same as greatness of righteousness, and the moral weight depends on the purpose and consequences of the deed.
Sañjaya reports that a powerful Rākṣasa has performed a remarkable act; observing it from the sky, the gods, Gandharvas, and sages react with amazement at the scale or effectiveness of what has been done.
