दधार सुप्रतीको5पि वेलेव मकरालयम् । समरभूमिमें अपनी ओर आते हुए उस हाथीको गजराज सुप्रतीकने उसी प्रकार रोक दिया, जैसे तटकी भूमि समुद्रको आगे बढ़नेसे रोके रहती है || ४४ हू ।।

তখন গজরাজ সুপ্রতীক তাকে ঠিক তেমনই রোধ করল, যেমন তট সমুদ্রকে—মকরালয়কে—অগ্রসর হতে বাধা দেয়। দশার্ণের মহাত্মা যোদ্ধার দ্বারা সেই নাগেন্দ্র রুদ্ধ হতে দেখে যুদ্ধের গতি থেমে গেল, যেন প্রকৃতিই অদম্য বলের সীমা নির্ধারণ করল।
