Adhyāya 92: Irāvanta-śoka, punaḥ-pravṛttiḥ saṅgrāmasya
Arjuna’s grief and the battle’s renewed intensity
न हि दुर्योधनो मन्द: पुरा प्रोक्तमबुध्यत । वार्यमाणो मया तात भीष्मेण विदुरेण च
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca |
na hi duryodhano mandaḥ purā proktam abudhyata |
vāryamāṇo mayā tāta bhīṣmeṇa vidureṇa ca |
ধৃতরাষ্ট্র বললেন—দুর্যোধন প্রকৃতপক্ষে মন্দবুদ্ধি ছিল না; তবু পূর্বে বলা কথা সে বুঝতে পারেনি। হে তাত! আমি, ভীষ্ম ও বিদুর বারবার তাকে নিবৃত্ত করতে চেয়েছি, তবু সে কল্যাণকর উপদেশ মানেনি।
