अशोभन्त रणे राजन् पात्यमानानि सर्वश: । भारत! स्वच्छ आकाशके सदृश खड़ग और सौ चन्द्राकार चिह्नोंसे विभूषित ऋषभचर्मकी विचित्र ढालें दृष्टिगोचर हो रही थीं। राजन्! रणभूमिमें गिरायी जाती हुई वे सब-की-सब तलवारें और ढालें बड़ी शोभा पा रही थीं

হে রাজন! রণক্ষেত্রে সর্বত্র পতিত হতে থাকা অস্ত্রশস্ত্রও যেন শোভা পাচ্ছিল। নির্মল আকাশের মতো উজ্জ্বল খড়্গ এবং ঋষভচর্মে নির্মিত, অর্ধচন্দ্র-চিহ্নে অলংকৃত বিচিত্র ঢালগুলি দৃষ্টিগোচর হচ্ছিল; পড়ে গিয়েও সেই তরবারি ও ঢাল যুদ্ধভূমিকে এক ভয়ংকর মহিমা দিচ্ছিল।
