(प्रच्छादयन् शरान् भीष्मो निशितान् कड्कपत्रिण: ।) भिनत्त्येकेन बाणेन सुमुखेन पतत्त्रिणा
(pracchādayan śarān bhīṣmo niśitān kaṅkapatriṇaḥ |) bhinattyekena bāṇena sumukhena patattriṇā
(সঞ্জয় বললেন:) কঙ্ক-পক্ষযুক্ত তীক্ষ্ণ তীরে ভীষ্ম রণক্ষেত্র আচ্ছন্ন করতেন; আর সুমুখ, পক্ষযুক্ত একটিমাত্র তীরেই তিনি তীরসমূহকে বিদীর্ণ করতেন—যুদ্ধধর্মের কঠোর বিধানে তাঁর ভয়ংকর দক্ষতা প্রকাশ পেত।
