भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय 54: फल्गुन-प्रतिरोधः, सौबली-व्यूह-विध्वंसः, दुर्योधन-भीष्म-संवादः
इन्द्रायुधसवर्णाभि: पताकाभिरलड्कृत: । आकाशग इवाकाशे गन्धर्वनगरोपम:
sañjaya uvāca |
indrāyudhasavarṇābhiḥ patākābhir alaṅkṛtaḥ |
ākāśaga ivākāśe gandharvanagaropamaḥ ||
ইন্দ্রধনুর বর্ণের পতাকায় সে ধ্বজা অলংকৃত ছিল। আকাশে তা যেন ভিত্তিহীনভাবে উড়ে চলা এক পক্ষীর মতোই চলমান মনে হচ্ছিল। দূর থেকে তা গন্ধর্ব-নগরের ন্যায় প্রতীয়মান হতো।
