Garuḍa Array and the Ardhacandra Counter-Formation
अपतत् सहसा राजन् महोल्केव नभस्तलात्
apatat sahasā rājan maholkeva nabhastalāt | aṣṭabhir navabhir bhīṣmaḥ śaktiṃ ciccheda patribhiḥ ||
সঞ্জয় বললেন—হে রাজন! সেই শক্তি আকাশ থেকে মহা উল্কার মতো হঠাৎ পতিত হল। অন্তরীক্ষে যেন শিখায় বেষ্টিত সেই জ্বলন্ত অস্ত্র দেখে তোমার পিতা দেবব্রত (ভীষ্ম) একটুও বিচলিত হলেন না; আট-নয়টি তীক্ষ্ণ বাণে তিনি তাকে খণ্ড খণ্ড করে দিলেন।
