परस्परेण धावन्त: पतिता: पुनरुत्थिता:
sañjaya uvāca | paraspareṇa dhāvantaḥ patitāḥ punar utthitāḥ | jighāṃsantaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha tadā āsīt tumulaṃ mahat ||
সঞ্জয় বললেন—হে শ্রেষ্ঠ যোদ্ধা, তখন যুদ্ধ মহা তুমুল হয়ে উঠল। পরস্পরের দিকে ধেয়ে এসে অনেকে পড়ে গেল, আবার উঠে দাঁড়াল; বধের বাসনায় তারা বারবার সংঘর্ষে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়ল।
