महर्षय: सप्त पूर्वे चत्वारोी35 मनवस्तथा । मद्धभावा मानसा जाता येषां लोक इमा: प्रजा:
arjuna uvāca | maharṣayaḥ sapta pūrve catvāro manavas tathā | madbhāvā mānasā jātā yeṣāṁ loka imāḥ prajāḥ ||
সাত মহর্ষি এবং তাদেরও পূর্ববর্তী চার মনু—আমারই স্বভাবসম্পন্ন—আমার মন ও সংকল্প থেকে জন্মেছেন; আর তাঁদের থেকেই জগতে এই সমগ্র প্রজাসমূহ উদ্ভূত হয়েছে।
