This verse is not a doctrinal teaching but a colophon: it formally closes the twenty-fourth chapter within the Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Sañjaya narrative frame, reminding the reader that the Gītā’s ethical counsel is embedded in the Mahābhārata’s war setting and transmitted through a structured dialogue.
Sañjaya’s report to Dhṛtarāṣṭra reaches a chapter boundary: the text signals that the twenty-fourth adhyāya has concluded within Bhīṣma Parva and within the Bhagavad Gītā section, functioning as an editorial marker of completion.
