तं शब्दं तुमुलं श्रुत्वा पाण्डवानां महारथा:
sañjaya uvāca |
taṁ śabdaṁ tumulaṁ śrutvā pāṇḍavānāṁ mahārathāḥ |
atāḍayan raṇe bhīṣmaṁ sahitāḥ sarvasṛñjayāḥ ||
সঞ্জয় বললেন—পাণ্ডবদের তোলা সেই ভয়ংকর, কলরবময় গর্জন শুনে সকল সৃঞ্জয়-মহারথী একত্রে সঙ্ঘবদ্ধ হয়ে রণে ভীষ্মের উপর ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়ল। শাতঘ্নী, পরিঘ, ফরাসা, মুদ্গর, মুসল, প্রাস, গোপন, স্বর্ণপক্ষ-বাণ, শক্তি, তোমর, কম্পন, নারাচ, বৎসদন্ত ও ভূশুণ্ডী প্রভৃতি অস্ত্রশস্ত্রে তারা চারদিক থেকে তাঁকে আঘাত করে যুদ্ধক্ষেত্রে ক্লেশ দিতে লাগল।
