जग्मुस्ते परलोकाय व्यादितास्यमिवान्तकम् | वे युद्धसे पीठ न दिखानेवाले
sañjaya uvāca | jagmus te paralokāya vyāditāsyam ivāntakam |
সেই যোদ্ধারা যেন হাঁ করা মৃত্যুর মুখে প্রবেশ করে পরলোকে গমন করল। যুদ্ধে পিঠ না দেখানো, বীর্যে সমৃদ্ধ এবং স্বর্ণধ্বজধারী তারা সকলেই ভীষ্মের নিকট অগ্রসর হয়ে অশ্ব-রথ-গজসহ পরলোকপথের পথিক হয়ে গেল।
