रथाग्न्यगारशक्षापार्चिरसिशक्तिगदेन्धन: । शरसंघमहाज्वाल: क्षत्रियान्‌ समरेडदहत्‌

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

rathāgnyagāraśaṣkāpārcirasiśaktigadendhanaḥ |

śarasaṅghamahājvālaḥ kṣatriyān samare ’dahat ||

Translation

সমরে যেন এক দাউদাউ অগ্নি জ্বলে উঠল এবং ক্ষত্রিয়দের দগ্ধ করতে লাগল। রথ ছিল অগ্নিশালার মতো, ধনুক ছিল শিখার মতো; খড়্গ, শক্তি ও গদা ছিল ইন্ধন, আর বাণসমূহের সমষ্টিই ছিল সেই অগ্নির মহাজ্বালা।
