भीष्मरथाभिमुख्यं — Arjuna’s advance with Śikhaṇḍin; Duḥśāsana’s interception
चर्मभिक्षामरैश्षित्रै: पताकाभिक्न मारिष | छत्रै: सितैहेमदण्डैश्वामरैश्व समनन्तत:
carma-bhikṣāmaraiś citraiḥ patākābhikhnā māriṣa | chatraiḥ sitaiḥ hema-daṇḍaiś cāmaraiś ca samanantataḥ ||
সঞ্জয় বললেন—মান্যবর মহারাজ! চারদিকে ঢাল, বিচিত্র চামর ও ছিন্ন পতাকা ছড়িয়ে ছিল; সেখানেই সোনার দণ্ডযুক্ত শ্বেত ছত্র এবং রাজচামরও পড়ে ছিল। এই ছড়ানো যুদ্ধ-ঐশ্বর্যের উপর দিয়ে নবমেঘের ঘনঘটার মতো হাতিরা, মেঘসম ভয়ংকর গর্জন করতে করতে, সর্বদিক জুড়ে ছুটে বেড়াতে দেখা গেল।
