वासुदेव उवाच
Even when a righteous cause is claimed, war leaves a residue of sorrow and moral weight: the loss of sons, friends, and strength turns victory into a duty to rebuild and to act with restraint, compassion, and accountability.
Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa) summarizes the devastation: the Pāṇḍavas have lost their sons, allies, and armies, and only the five brothers remain, with Kṛṣṇa and Yuyudhāna (Sātyaki) as surviving supporters.
